Letter from the Editor

Dear Reader,

This volume is, in every respect, a labor of love. In two years, we will mark the 30th anniversary of Licton Springs Review, a publication of, by, and for the North Seattle College community. Dozens of people from every sector of North work tirelessly to keep LSR vibrant, accessible, and alive. At a time when community college budgets are tight, and arts funding is taking heavy cuts all across the country, it is a joy and a privilege and a miraculous relief to offer you one more volume, one more year.

We believe in the power of these stories—North’s stories. Once again we hold up this volume as a mirror, and hope you see yourself reflected.
